All points (x,y)

All points (x,y) that lie before line l, satisfy which of the following inequalities?

a- y < 2x + 3
b- y < -2x + 3
c- y < -x + 3
d- y < 1x/2 + 3
e- y < -1x/2 + 3

I tried y=3, x=1, so a---> 3 < 5 (V)
d--> 3 < 3.5 (V)
but the OA is e, can anyone explain please?

Assume the line to be y = mx + c, the figure shows that the line passes through (0,3) and (6,0). On solving for m and c using the two we get the equation y = -x/2 + 3, thus the area below the line would be y< -x/2 + 3

True ! ...
I should have tried those points to get the equation, not for the choices !! ...
I usually plug in numbers for these cases, but, as I see, there are exceptions ..
