Given Same left a tip of $1.50, which is s% of the price of the meal, the price of the meal = 1.50/s% = 1.50*(100/s) = 150/s.

If we get the value of s, we get the answer.

Given Martha left a tip of $1.50, which is r% of the price of the meal ($10), 10 = 1.50/r% => r% = 1.5/10 => r = 15

Let's take each statement one by one.

(1) s = 20

Sufficient.

(2) s = (4/3)r

s = (4/3)*15 = 20

Sufficient.

The correct answer: D
