Question asks - Is x a prime number.
A) x is even, x can be 2 (prime),4,6,8 - non prime numbers
x can have integer n satisfying the condition in stem for non-prime numbers, but x can also equal 2, which satisfies the condition in question stem. Not sufficient.

B) 47<x<53 x is integer, x can be = 48,49,50,51,52, all are non-prime numbers and satisfy "1<n<x" condition.
Sufficient.
Answer should be B.
