A certain newspaper has 80 employees. Of the employees, 3/5 are either journalists or copy editors. How many of the employees are journalists?

1) The newspaper employes more than 10 copy editors.
2) There are more than 3 times as many journalists at the paper as there are copy editors.

I think the answer should be E.

From given info, 3/5 * 80 = 48
48 = J + CE - both

From 1, c >10, Not sufficient.

From 2, J > 3C,
C = 15, J=50
C =10 , J= 39
Not sufficient

From 1 and 2
we still can have multiple values for J

C = 15, J=50
C = 20, J = 61

hence both statements are also not sufficient.

Hence E.
