This school in London is rather unusual because its pupils study extra - curricular subjects such as ballroom dancing and car maintenance.

a. because its pupils study extra-curricular subjects such as
b. because its pupils study extra-curricular subjects like
c. in that its pupils study extra-curricular subjects such as
d. in that its pupils study extra-curricular subjects like
e. because of its pupils studying extra-curricular subjects like

Such as is used to introduce examples
But like is used for similarities.
Eliminate B, D, and E

We have only A and C left.

Is it A? It sounds way better

It comes down to A and C as you can eliminate the other on the basis of the usage of "like"..

As mentioned in Mitchs post - in that is the correct idiom.

OA should be C
A good question also deserves a Thanks.

Messenger Boy: The Thesselonian you're fighting... he's the biggest man i've ever seen. I wouldn't want to fight him.
Achilles: That's why no-one will remember your name.

we use "such as" to introduce examples so B D and E are out.
"in that" is preferable so C for me
