People who register for a business conference and then cancel their registrations are subject to cancellation fees based on how far in advance they cancel, as shown in the table above. A certain executive who paid $2,000 to register for the conference was forced to cancel her registration and was charged a cancellation fee. How many days before the conference did she cancel her registration?

(1) If she had cancelled one day later, her cancellation fee would have been higher by $400.
(2) The cancellation fee was less than one-third of the registration fee.

The OA is E.
