Just took GMAT for second time and am woefully dissapointed. Took it 1st time 6 weeks ago and scored 530. Studied extremely hard for 6 weeks and went down to 460. How is this even possible. I seriously think I might have a brain aneryism or something. Took 1 month Kaplan course before my first test. Switched to PR and Manhattan materials just to mix it up, but I prefer the online resources of Kaplan and returned to that in the last 2 weeks of preparation. Scored 550, 560, 580, 670, 640, 620 on Kaplan tests leading up to my stellar 460 on the actual test. Was consistently scoring 99th percentile on verbal in practice tests, but extremely weak on quant. On test day was weak on both.
I cant apply to business school with these scores. I will have to delay to round 3 and take test again, but based on my total lack of improvement, and in fact decrease in score, I am worried I may do no better on the next attempt.
I may not go to business school and consider other graudate programs instead. Is the GRE significantly easier. How do people do on GRE after GMAT prep.
Any thoughts or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
Best,
Shasa
