There's a nice property of fractions that says: AB/CD = (A/C)(B/D)

Now notice that 3.003 = (3)(1.001)
And 2.002 = (2)(1.001)

So......3.003/2.002 = (3)(1.001)/(2)(1.001)
= (3/2)(1.001/1.001) [applying the above rule]
= (3/2)(1)
= 3/2

Solution:

Approximating, we have:

3/2 = 1.5

Note that the quotient of 3.003/2.002 is exactly 1.5. Since half of 2.002 is exactly 1.001, when me multiply 2.002 by 1.5, we obtain:

2.002 x 1.5 = 2.002 + 1.001 = 3.003

Answer: E
