Solution: The resultant percentage will be the weighted average of the percentages of the above two stocks.

=> \(\frac{\left[\left(1200\cdot0.25\right)\ +\ \left(400\ \cdot\ 0.20\right)\right]}{\left[\left(1,200\ +\ 400\right)\right]}\cdot100\)

=> \(\frac{\left(300\ +\ 80\right)}{\left(1,600\ \right)}\cdot100\)

=> \(\frac{\left(380\right)}{\left(1,600\ \right)}\cdot100\) => 23.75%

Therefore, B is the correct answer.

Solution:

The percentage of water in the mixed mango pulp is:

[(1200 x 0.25 + 400 x 0.2) / (1200 + 400)] x 100 = [(300 + 80) / 1600] x 100 = 380/16 = 23.75 percent

Answer: B
