The OA is B
Since x and y are consecutive integers and x < y, then y = x + 1. Thus, y^2 - x^2 = (x + 1)^2 - x^2 = x^2 + 2x + 1 - x^2 = 2x + 1, which is always an odd number, regardless of what integer x is.

Answer: B
