Given: -3x < 6
Divide both sides by -3 to get: x > -2 [ASIDE: since we divided both sides by a NEGATIVE value (-3), we has to REVERSE the direction of the inequality]

Answer: D

Hi M7MBA,

We're told that -3X < 6. We're asked which of the following MUST be true. This question can be approached in a couple of different ways, including by TESTing VALUES.

The easiest value to choose for X would be X=0. With that one TEST, there's only one Answer that is true...

Final Answer: D

We can divide both sides of the inequality by -3 (and don't forget to switch the inequality sign) to obtain:

x > -2

Answer: D
