How many of the 60 balls in the basket are green?

1) The probability of randomly picking a green ball out of the basket is 1/12
2) Of the 12 balls that were taken out of the basket, 1 was green

Total balls = 60

Statement 1 => The probability of randomly picking a green ball out of the baskets 1/12
Probability of picking green ball = 1/12
$$p\left(of\ green\ ball\right)=\frac{total\ number\ of\ green\ balls}{total\ number\ of\ balls}$$
Total number of green balls = p(of green balls) * total number of balls = 1/12 * 60
Total green balls = 5
Statement 1 is SUFFICIENT

Statement 2 => Of the 12 bills that were taken out of the basket, 1 was given
There is no guarantee that this statement is true for all 12 set of balls that can be taken from the basket i.e it is possible to take a set of 12 balls with green balls > 1 or < 1 so statement 2 is NOT SUFFICIENT

Since only statement 1 is SUFFICIENT
