(1) On the number line, the distance from 3 to n is 2/3 of the distance from 3 to 9.
(2) On the number line, n is 10 units to the right of -3

(1) On the number line, the distance from 3 to n is 2/3 of the distance from 3 to 9.

=> Distance between 3 and 9 = 6

Thus, the distance from 3 to n is 2/3 of 6 = 2/3*6 = 4

Thus, n - 3 = 4 => n = 7. Sufficient.

(2) On the number line, n is 10 units to the right of -3.

=> n = -3 + 10 = 7. Sufficient.

The correct answer: D

Hope this helps!
