Range is given by the highest selling price – lowest selling price

Let's take each statement one by one.

1) 1/3 of the sold wallets had a selling price of $24 each.

We do not have any information about the highest and the lowest selling price. Insufficient.

2) The lowest selling price of the wallets was 1/3 the highest selling price of the wallets.

We do not have any information about the highest and the lowest selling price. Insufficient.

(1) and (2) together

Even both statements together are insufficient; note that we cannot assume that the price of $24 given in statement 1 is the highest price.

Correct answer: E

Hope this helps!
