Question : x = ?

Statement 1: 1/5 < 1/(1 + x) < 1/2
i.e. 1+x = 3 or 4
i.e. x = 2 or 3
NOT SUFFICIENT

Statement 2: (x - 3)(x - 4) = 0
i.e. x = 3 or x = 4
NOT SUFFICIENT

Combining the two statements
x = 3 is the only common solution

Answer: Option C
