NOTE: since x and y are both positive, we can safely multiply and divide both sides of the given inequality by x and y.

Given: x/y < 1
Multiply both sides by y to get: x < y
Divide both sides by x to get: 1 < y/x

Answer: D

Solution:

x/y < 1

x < y

1 < y/x

So y/x is greater than 1.

Alternate Solution:

Because x/y < 1 and x and y are both positive, we know that x is less than y. Thus, y is greater than x. Since x/y < 1, then y/x > 1.

Answer: D
