THE ONES killed by bee strings -> refers to people killed by bee string.

Option B,
FEWER than the NUMBER of PEOPLE that have been by bee stings.

Sameer nailed it on this one! Choice E is incorrectly trying to compare the number (seven have been killed) to the people (fewer than the ones...). And that doesn't work.

Note here that "ones" plays the role of a pronoun for "people". And you wouldn't ever say "fewer than the people". "Fewer" has to describe a number, so "fewer" in B is really parallel to "seven" at the beginning of sentence.

For the other choices:

A makes the same error as E, plus it also uses "less" instead of "fewer", which you'd need for a plural noun like "people".

B is correct; it's a logical, parallel comparison (seven people have been killed vs. fewer (people) have been killed)

C uses that word "which", which makes it a reflexive pronoun and therefore "is less" would have to modify "movies". That's not logical.

D makes the same mistake as A and D - "a number lower than the people" isn't a logical comparison, as it compares a number to people.

One important tip here - when you see pronouns and comparisons together ("that of"; "those of"; etc.) you'll almost always have to make a determination of which two things are logically being compared, so make that a focal point if you see that kind of setup.

As much as 10 times of jute is manufactured now as was manufactured last year.
In this sentence i don't think we need IT. It simply compares the amount of jute manufactured at two particular time.

Coming to original question, We note the use of AS MUCH in non underlined part. SO we need another as in underlined part. Eliminate option A and E.

In option B and D, IT refers to what? the energy generated. If yes, then that means
AS was generated
and
AS it was generated
both are same. IN this case latter is wordy.

Also to maintain parallelism : as much X as Y
as much energy is generated through wind power now AS was the case in 1990.
