Will OR Would ?

which looks correct ?

If i wait around any longer,I will lose my patience.
OR
If i wait around any longer,I would lose my patience.

The first one is correct.

If i wait around any longer, I will lose my patience.

Use will when the if-clause is written in present tense.
Use would when the if-clause is written in past tense.
