Idioms

by vikassingh03 » Sat Oct 29, 2011 5:54 am
Hi,

Can anyone please give me a quick and good guide for idioms?I tried to go through the one given in Manhattan SC and find it very lengthy.Right now I am just paying attention to idiom questions given in OG and ensure that I understand them.

Any guidance in this regard would be of great help.

Thanks.

I just found out that GMAT is phasing idioms out and that it might already have done it. You should expect significantly less idioms in the tests now.
Can any experts confirm this?
Whether it is true or not, my strategy is to focus on other stuffs and not try to memorize thousands of idioms.

Idioms will always be on the test because the test is in English; GMAC has indicated that they're more interested in testing meaning than idiom on SC, but you still have to be able to correctly understand idioms in CR and RC, as well as produce them in AWA.
