I took the GMAT this morning and scored a 730. Here's my breakdown:
Quantitative 47 (81%)
Verbal 44 (97%)
Total 730 (96%)
I was surprised because I just graduated in electrical engineering and based on my practice tests I felt I was stronger in quant than verball. The results of my practice tests were as follows:
GMATPREP1: 49 40 730
GMATPREP2: 49 41 730
I would like to claim that I put a ton of hard work into preparation and used a ton of strategies but I only prepared for two weeks. This was mainly because I'll be starting a strenuous job soon and wanted to take the exam before I got too involved with my work. I worked hard during my undergraduate education and I'm assuming that is what led to my success.
For preparation I went through all of the SC questions in OG11 because that's where I struggled the most. I also did the last 50 questions in the other sections.
I used this forum for advice over the past few days and I wanted to thank everyone for their help. I plan on using this site for advice when I apply for my MBA as well.
