It may be that by focusing primarily on a patient's mental condition and on vague and often very speculative psychodynamic factors, predictions about the patient's future behavior decrease in accuracy.

GMAT sentences with an opening modifying phrase before the main clause can be some of the easiest targets for Process of Elimination when at least one of either the modifying phrase or the beginning of the main clause is underlined. Only answers that are correctly matched -- here, only mental health professionals could be focusing -- can be correct.
