The number 75 can be written as the sum of the squares of 3 different positive integers. What is the sum of these 3 integers?

a. 17
b. 16
c. 15
d. 14
e. 13

75... This number immediately makes me thing of 5, since it is a multiple of 5. Now, consider 5^2 = 25. This means that the sum of the other two integers will be 75 - 25 = 50. Now, what two squares make 50? You've got only one option - 49 and 1, the respective squares of 7 and 1.
This means sum = 5 + 1 + 7 = 13.
