So it is clear that GMAC upadates the percentiles according to how test takers' average scores are changing. My question is when do they make these updates and how often? (I assume the updates are made on annual basis, but not sure)

I'm not sure how often they update -- I know the Q percentiles have changed between now and my test in May.
I believe that the scores that are kept in the bank for percentile purposes are those tests written within the last 3 years and I believe they take scores out of the bank once they get 3 years old, though I can't remember where I read that.
