Background: Indian, Bachelors in computer science...... The usual stuff. WOrking in Revenue Assurance(Telecom)
Prep: Started out seriously in the beginning of May.
I wanted to crack this. took 10days off from the office, and spent it on GMAT full time.
Note: Im the type who can work in a single long session without losing concentration
it might not make sense for you to take time off for this. if ur the type who studies in bursts, then plan accordingly.
Custom fit the exam for you.
Materials: OG 11(V only), OG12.
Tests: Manhattan, GMATPrep.
Strategy: Started out with OG practice questions. identiffied topics im bad at.
Discovered I had no clue of Geometry. Worked particularly hard on it.
Same goes with V.
Remember, this exam is about concept and knowledge to a certain extent, after which its all about mindset.
Time yourself per question +/- 20seconds, for all questions practiced from the OG guide.
Take all mocks under strict exam conditions. which means a quiet room, comfortable temperature & clothes, proper food, lots of water a couple of hours prior to the exam.
Time yourself. This is the most important part; you have to put yourself pressure.
Then you get used to performing for the 4 hour marathon.
Hope that helps, if any other questions. post/msg me. Tx!!
