Hi All - wanted to post my score, and give a BIG thanks to this website and all of the people who are on it.

Wrote the GMAT on Friday, April 9, and scored a 700. I was really happy with my score, seeing that I only hade 5 weeks of studying (the last week I was off work so I had lots of time).

I appear to be a rarity on here. My quant score was not great, 53 percentile, but I'm really happy with my verbal score.

I focussed a lot on my SC and CR during the last week, and I realized that my math was only going to get to a certain level over the 5 weeks.

I think I'm going to write again - simply because I feel that I was about to turn the corner on the math, and I think I could improve my quant score into the 99+ percentile as well (Math comes easy to me, but I'm a psychology major).

For my studying I used the OG 11, & Princeton review as the two general Books.
I also used the Powerscore CR Bible, and the MGMAT SC Book for verbal - and the MGMAT EIV and FDP books.
If/When I write again - I'll pick up the other MGMAT books - they are great books!

This is great! I'm in a similar position, I struggle with the quant but think I could get there if I just put the time into it. Although it's great to know its possible to hit a 700 w/o a steller quant score, thanks for sharing!

Thanks to all.

This site was a big help, and pointed me in the right direction a number of times.

I do think there was some variance with my score, that is to say that I wouldn't be entirely confident that I could score a V47 again (I think there was some luck). But the work paid off. I got into the school I applied to!

Hey, sorry for the delay in getting to your question.

Yes - I used the Manhattan SC guide. I reallly liked all the Manhattan books I had, and would reccomend them.

I used the Powerscore CR bible as well for the CR questions.

I used the guide to learn, and the OG guides to drill questions. I also used the flashcards on here and through the Manhattan website.

Going through wrong answers on practice exams helped as well - after a while the SC's and CR's just starting to click for me.
