A family-size box of cereal contains more cereal and costs more than the regular-size box of cereal. What is the cost per ounce of the family-size box of cereal?
(1) The family-size box of cereal contains 10 ounces more than the regular-size box of cereal.
(2) The family-size box of cereal costs $5.40.

FS > RS in cost an quantity. FS Cost/qty = ?

1. FS qty = RS qty + 10
Tell us nothing about the cost, insufficient..

2. FS total cost = 5.40$ But we don't know how many ounces of cereal are in it, so we cannot find the cost per ounce.


Both 1 and 2:

Again, we only know it has 10 ounces more than regular, and cannot give a definitive answer about cost per ounce.
