GMAT prep software - retake question?

by nehs » Mon Sep 20, 2010 1:21 pm
Is there a chance of inflated scores if we take the GMAT prep tests twice(or more times)? If yes, is there any probabale % or points by which the test inflates our scores?
I actually got a 610 on my last GMAT prep test. I had 3-4 questions repeat and two of the RC passages were the same.

My scores so far:

GMAT prep: 470
PR: 440
PR:480
MGMAT:560
GMAT Prep:560
GMAT Prep:610

I am confused if I am progressing or does this means my scores are inflated

If you have re-taken the tests and you got only 2-3 questions repeated and if you have worked through those 2-3 questions as if you are doing it for the first time, then you can fairly say that scores are not pretty inflated.

But remember that main factor of scores being inflated is taking the tests without AWA. If you have not taken AWA, then the scores are 100% inflated.

Thanks Papgust.
I did not take the AWA. Infact, only yesterday did I browse through some AWA templates. and - yes, I did work through the repeated questions again as I could not remember the answers

However,I am mainly concerned about why my scores are all over the place :-(. MY scores have never been constant. This worries me ,especially with 3 days to go for the test.Anyone, any suggestions/comments/advice??
Thank You.
