B School Selection

by siranak » Fri Jul 15, 2011 1:31 pm
I know its a over asked question but here goes.
Indian, Male, 26yrs.
B.E.(IT)(Not a great college)
MBA(IIM Indore)
Worked for indian IT firm for a little less than a year pre MBA.
After my MBA been working for a Big 4 consulting in risk advisory for over a year.
Overall - 2+ years of exp. till now. Should be over 3 at the point of joining a college(targeting fall 2012)
GMAT Score - 770
Reason for second MBA - Not happy with opportunities in consulting in India
Which schools are my best bet? Do i have a chance to crack the top 10 or 15?

I am surprised to hear that IIM MBA degree holder is not happy with his degree !!

You can definitely target top 10-15 B- schools but your work exp is somewhat less as most of B-schools worldwide are looking for candidates with more than 2 yrs of work exp.

Secondly I will be bit difficult for you to justify second MBA degree as you have recently got one from IIM .

Its a renowned school worldwide.
