A) and B) both use the plural "were," which is incorrect for "bouquet." In E), "they" has no antecedent. D) is kind of awkward--it lacks a verb in the progressive tense (used to show that something is in the process of occurring), and also has a strange comma before "just picked..." C) doesn't really have anything wrong with it, so it's the best choice.
