Personal Tutoring

by [email protected] » Sun Mar 25, 2012 3:20 pm
Hi everyone, I'm just looking for some general advice/pointers, and would appreciate any and all input.

I've been prepping for the GMAT using Kaplan (Math Refresher and on site GMAT Advantage) for about 2 months now, and have seen an 80 point improvement on my first practice CAT score. I'm happy with my progress and with Kaplan in general, but I still would like to see drastic improvement before I take the test on May 12th. I'm now considering doing some private tutoring, and just wanted to see if this is a good idea. Also, should I go with a system other than Kaplan or would this confuse me? I live in the NYC area, so I imagine there's a lot to choose from.

I need most help with quant, as for whatever reason I have serious mental blocks to some concepts and have a hard time applying formulas and figuring out how to solve in format questions.

Thank you in advance for any responses.

Hi,
With quant, you need to build a thought process which will become a habit and can crack any question in quant. Reviewing, redoing and analyzing diff ways to solve a problem wil help you build a thought process. Merely solving problem after problem will definitely not improve your knowledge base.

As far as verbal is concerned, I will suggest you to practice with OG material only. you can reach me the below given email id for any help/tutoring/mentoring/guidance.
