AWA?

How much weight do you put on analytical writing?

I scored a 700 on the GMAT but only a 4.0 (21%) on the analytical writing section. I don't consider myself a great writer but I expected at least a 5.0 on the AWA section.

Hi Az,

Thanks for your post. Dont worry too much about your AWA score. Most AdComs at top programs dont look at the AWA score unless its very low.

On a side note, if you are concerned about your writing, make sure you have others (family, friends, co-workers, alumni) read your essays before submitting your applications..
