by frednand » Tue May 18, 2010 10:38 pm

Now I want to retake the GMAT exams can any one offer me a worth idea and advise on how to improve my score? Thanks I will appreciate for answers.

How did you prepare the last time?

Focus on any areas of weakness. Spend more time with it.
Have you tried attending classes(online/offline)? They could help you prepare for the test rather than read books and do self study alone.

I'll just say 1 line, take it seriously:
Don't give the GMAT until you have gone through ALL of Manhattan GMAT's 8 strategy guides in good detail and done the suggested OG problems!

Thanks for the response.
Actually I did a self study at the same time I was preparing for CISA exams. Fortunate is I passed the CISA exams and failed on GMAT. So according to your advise I should concentrate much on areas of weakness. Here in Tanzania there are no Tuition provider of GMAT so the only and best option is to do a self study.

I have been using Princetown Kit, Manhattan and Kaplan and a litle bit of Official Guide from GMAC.

If you feel that a class would be helpful, there are many options for online courses, live or recorded (Manhattan GMAT, Princeton Review, Veritas, Knewton...)

If you want more personalized attention, you can also get tutoring online: GMATFix, Manhattan GMAT, and GmatNinja definitely offer this option.

Best of luck!
