Should I retake? Current score 680

Hi,

I took GMAT in June '11 and scored 680 (Q-49,V-32) AWA-6.
I will be applying to ISB, Hyd for 2012-13 batch. I have worked in IT field for 3 years and moved to my family business last year which is into manufacturing domain.
Can anyone advice me if I should retake GMAT and if yes how should I improve my verbal score cos i was able to get my score from 26 to 32 but not beyond that. And I find trouble in RCs a lot.

RC is a problem for most test takers. You can get RC 99 for additional practice. Some really tough RCs there.

I dunno much about ISB's scores. If your score is well above their average, you should consider not taking the test and invest time in other parts of the application.

Hi Kavyam,

680 is a good score but bit below ISB's average GMAT intake OF 720.Rest depends on your overall profile and your applications.
If you are thinking to apply in R1 with this score than go ahead and if you can wait for R2 than you can retake GMAT and can score better.
RC seems tough for every Indian. You can try Manhattan RC book and I hope it will help.

You can also improve in other sections of You can try Critical Reasoning & Sentence Correction from e-Gmat. It really helped me a lot to improve in CR and SC sections.

I can apply in R2. That's not a problem for me.

@vineesh - I got the RC99 recently. Will be starting that.

@Ankur - I did Manhattan RC before my test but it was old edition. Is the new one different? Should I do it again? For CR - which one is good power score bible or e-gmat? And for SC is Manhattan SC guide enough or should I go for Aristotle's SC? I read in one of the forums here that aristotle sc is good.
