First - review your right answers as well as your wrong answers. Often our right answers are simply lucky guesses.

Keep an error log that tells you WHY you missed a given question. What concepts are you missing? What kind of wrong answers are you falling for? Once you spot a trend you can correct several wrong answers at once. Remember, you are dealing with concepts, not questions. You will never see one of your practice questions on the test.

When you review a question, ask yourself not only why the right answers are right, but why the wrong answers are wrong. After all, there are four wrong answers for every right one. Understanding the wrong answers is at least as important as undestanding the right ones.

Review the basic rules that are tested. For example, the proper usage is "fewer" questions, not "less" questions.

Don't you mean, "How to make Fewer mistakes"? When you have a conversation with a friend, point out their grammer fallacies in your head (Ambiguous-pronoun use, subject-verb agreement...) Incorporate that into your life for 3 months and score a killer GMAT score. Sure, it's not fun but it really helps.
