just took the test - feeling deflated

by mjhea0 » Thu Nov 03, 2011 3:54 am
I just took the test yesterday after two months of studying with Veritas. It didn't go well-

Quant: 30
Verbal: 35
540 Overall

The Quant I don't understand. The lowest score I ever received on the Quant was 33 and that was on my very first practice test from the Official GMAT Prep Test where I didn't answer 10 questions (see attachment).

I don't know where to go from here. I was hoping to get somewhere between 600 and 650. I'm looking to get into a MSA program. I only need a 590. But my hope was to get a high enough score to leave the door open to possibly going to a decent school for my MBA down the road.

I am burnt out, and I feel very embarrassed. I just don't get it. On the test, I got some higher-level permutation questions - so I thought I was doing well. Any chance that the official score is incorrect?

Any suggestions? I'm thinking of signing up for Knewton to get the guaranteed 50 point increase, but I know their material is intense. I just started a new job, which is very demanding. I had hoped to be all done with this GMAT mess by now.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I might sign up with Knewton too...50 points GUARANTEED is fairly bold.
