Old books?

by Ludacrispat26 » Mon Oct 19, 2009 11:10 am
So I'm browsing some books online and found really good prices for some Kaplan/MGMAT books from around 2005.

Does anyone think there is a cutoff year where the help from using these books wouldn't surpass the time/money spent on getting them? Is the material from a MGMAT book from 2005 still relevant?

Thanks so much.

I understand that Kaplan has not considerably updated their material in quite some time. However, every new edition of the MGMAT SC guide references the newest edition of the OG, so if you have OG 12, you'll need the latest. I'm not sure if this holds true for the rest of the series. If it's not the case, then there's no problem in buying them: quant is still quant after all!

However, I will recommend buying the latest versions of official material. It's gotten slightly harder over the years and you want to have the most representative stuff at hand.
