My GMAT is scheduled for tomorrow ...

by gmatash2011 » Mon Nov 14, 2011 6:15 am
Hi,

My GMAT test is scheduled for tomorrow. I have butterflies in my tummy as my preparation has been inconsistent. I am trying to ascertain what score should i expect tomorrow. Here are the scores of my last few practice GMAT tests. Based upon these scores, can the experts tell me what should i expect tomorrow ?

1) Princeton Review Test1 (06/09/2011) - 500 (verbal - 25, maths - 35) [couldn't complete both sections, pacing problems]
2) Kaplan Test (01/10/2011) - 680 (verbal% - 21/41 correct, maths% - 25/37 correct) [couldn't complete both sections, pacing problems, last 10-12 questions in both sections were random guesses]
3) Princeton Review Test2 (01/11/2011) - 600 (verbal - 29, maths - 44)
4) Princeton Review Test3 (09/11/2011) - 600 (verbal - 26, maths- 47)
5) Kaplan Retake (11/11/2011, same test as before but this time i actually managed to complete both sections) - 690 (verbal% - 16/41 correct, maths% - 32/37 correct)
So my average Test Score from this data is - 614

Clearly, there is a lot of difference in the way the score is being calculated on both the tests, i.e- Princeton Review Vs. Kaplan. Also, even though my maths score has improved over these tries, my verbal score has been falling everytime i give a test. After the last attempt at these practice tests, I am really confused as to what i should expect tom. Please advise.

13 hours to go ....

Its hard to predict an actual GMAT score without looking at scores from GMATPrep score. You should have probably taken atleast 1 GMAT Power Prep test to get "a feel" of the real score.

Anyways, since your exam is tomorrow, I would not worry too much about it today...unless you're charged up and take a late evening test today and if you promise yourself that the result would not trouble your exam morale.

Good Luck with your test! Controlling your anxiety in middle of the exam is the key. Don't get rusty on any questions that you think you can solve if you had more time.

I completely agree with iwillsurvive. The GMAT Prep tests are the most accurate indicators of how you will do. At this point though, I would not worry about it at all. Just make sure you get a good night of sleep and you are rested and relaxed for tomorrow. Worrying about anything at this point will do more good than harm.

Hey gmatash2011

Hope you did well on your test. Appreciate if you can come back here and post your real score after your test. All the best, and don't get tensed before, during or after your test! Goodluck!
