10 minutes.
10 minutes.
You will be prompted to raise your hand and have the administrator sign you out. It is just enough time to go to the bathroom OR have a snack/water. I don't suggest using more than 7 minutes, but I do suggest that you take a break of some sort, at least to stretch.
Ear plugs can be bought at any hardware store (along with other safety equipment). But be sure to ask the administrators if it is ok, because you really aren't allowed to bring anything other than your ID and locker key. My test centre offered ear plugs and tissue.

The ear plugs were offered free, but I do not know if they offer them at all test centres.
I did not bring my own and didn't think why I would need them.
When I was writing my test though, I found everyone frantically typing to be very loud. They must have been on the AWA while I had moved on to Math, since I had been checked in first. Also, the building was in the centre of a streetcar loop and the wall was quite thin and I could hear the conversations of the office next door. However I don't mind a little noise.

I think the change from 10 min to 8 min breaks is such crap. Really, how much is 4 extra minutes over a span of 3.5 hours going to hurt anyone?
