The price of commodity A is 20% more the price of Comm B. The price of comm B is 20% less than price of comm C. By what % is the price of the comm A less or more than price of comm D

1. The price of comm B is 30% more than the price of comm D
2. The price of comm C is 25% less than the price of comm D

OA : D

I am with OA

B = 100, A = 120
C = 100*100 / 80

Similarly D can be found from both B and C using options...
First take: 640 (50M, 27V) - RC needs 300% improvement
Second take: coming soon..
Regards,
HSPA.

IMO D is the answer.
Both statements are sufficient.

A = 1.2B is given
B = 0.8C is given
Thus A = (1.2)(0.8)C

The quantity asked for in the question stem is (A/D - 1) * 100, or (A-D)/D * 100. We already have A in terms of B and C, so if we can find a linear relationship between A and D, B and D, or C and D, the information will be sufficient.

Statement 1: B = 1.3D. Sufficient.
Statement 2: C = 0.75D. Sufficient.

D
