Hi Ramandeep,

Thanks for submitting your brother's information. Sounds like he scored well on the GMAT -- did you mean to type 700 or 750? Either way, he's in competitive range based on that score for HEC.

While his internships are very impressive, it sounds like he has not gained any full time work experience yet. Most business schools look for candidates with 3-5 years of full time work experience at the time of matriculation so that they can assess their leadership potential. They also seek candidates with multi-dimensional profiles -- people who have volunteered in their community (non profits, NGOs), and who have pursued their individual passions (marathons, hiking, piano...whatever it may be). I'd suggest that your brother take a couple years to develop in these areas and then apply to HEC. If he builds up these dimensions and has a 700+ GMAT, he should be in good shape!

Best,
Mili

Hi Jai,

That is a very tough question! Your work sounds amazing... to be honest, I'm not sure what the schools will require as proof of 'employment.' You could say you are self-employed... have you formed a formal nonprofit of your own or LLC of some sort to do this work? I would suggest calling the schools' admissions offices and asking directly what they would require.

Best of luck and keep up the great work,
Mili
