GMAT practice test Kaplan Online

Hi there,

I have reads some comments about Kaplan test. I knew that Kaplan tests are harder than others and I should add around 80 points to predict my actual scores. However, when I took Kaplan online test, I saw this test a little bit easier than those in CD.

I wonder if I should add 80 points to my actual scores at Kaplan online.

Here is my scores:

Overall: 620

Overall percentage below is 87.

Verbal: 37. Verbal overall percentage below : 84

Quantitative: 36. Quantitative overall percentage below: 70

By the way, If any one can help me explain what overall percentage below is, I will appreciate a lot.

Yeah, I read that too, that the online Kaplan test is easier. I don't know if it's 80 points easier, but for now I would focus on what types of questions you struggled with more than trying to figure out how on target the score is.

Do some more practice and then take a GMATPrep or Princeton Review test for a better feel for your score. Work on math formulas since quant seemed to be more difficult.

One thing that does strike me as odd is that a 620 came across as an 87% score. That seems off to me...I'd expect a 670-680 to be 87%, not a 620.

I agree with fsar 45. I found it a little weird that my overal below percentage is 87% while my total score is 620. Does that overall below percentage mean 87% people who take the same online GMAT like me score below my score. I am just curious.

Thanks for your advice. I'd better focus on probability questions since those gave me hard time

I took the online Kaplan one and got a 700, while my other scores on the CD so far were 680, 650 and 610. I'm going to go against the grain and say that the Kaplan CATs, in terms of difficulty, are very comparable to GMATPrep. They might score harder, but that's different than actually being more difficult.

How I feel about the difficulty of the CATs,

Manhattan GMAT > Kaplan = GMATPrep > Princeton Review
