So $ salary increases by 0.25 for every salary grade increase of 1.

so
s=1: 9.5
s=2: 9.75
...
s=4:10.50
s=5: 10.75

so difference is 1.25$ or C

Your calculations dont make sense if you're saying $0.25 increase for every increment of S
s = 1 -> 9.5
s = 2 -> 9.75
s = 3 -> 10
s = 4 -> 10.25
s = 5 -> 10.5

The difference should be 1... am I missing something why it's 1.25?

sorry I rushed through that without thinking - you are right, it should be 1, not sure why OA is C then...
