(E) 500
OA is d
1/10 percent of 5,000
10% of 5,000 = 500
1% of 5,000 = 50
0.1% of 5,000 = 5
In other words, 1/10 percent of 5,000 = 5

1/10 of 5,000
1/10 of 5,000 = (1/10)(5,000) = 5000/10 = 500

DIFFERENCE = 500 - 5 = 495

Answer: D

Hi Roland2rule,

You can try as follows,
$$\frac{5000}{10}-\frac{1}{10}\cdot\frac{1}{100}\cdot5000=500-5=495$$
Option D.

Regards.

We can create the expression:

1/10 x 5000 - (1/10)/(100) x 5000

500 - 1/1000 x 5000

500 - 5 = 495
