I received a decent overall score, I am okay with 700. But, score distribution is:

Q44 - 63%
V41 - 93%
700 - 90%

I want to be in the 75% to 80% range in Quant. However, I noticied that I often start strong on quant. However, as problems get more difficult in the middle, my performance drops off considerably, affecting my confidence and concentration that I miss problems that I probably shouldn't miss. How can I improve? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

That's partly the nature of Computer Adaptive Testing; it ensures that everyone is struggling within the first 6 to 10 questions.

Also keep in mind that this 4-hour test has a strong endurance component as well. To build endurance, you need to take several practice tests.

I hope that helps.

Cheers,

Thanks for the advice. I agree. I think it is probably related to a combination of those two effects (lack of mental endurance and confidence). I took plenty of practice tests but I had the same problem during those tests. I am going to try to focus on just hard problems. I think that if I can figure out some strategies to tackle those, I will be more comfortable when I see them on the exam.
