Statement 1. The time taken by the car to cover D was more than 2 hours.
Statement 2. The time taken by the car to cover D was less than 2.75 hours.

\(3\) miles per minute = 180 miles per hour

Statement 1 tells us that the time taken by the car was more than 2 hours.

If the car took \(2.5\) hours to travel, then the total distance would be \(450\) miles.
If the car took \(3\) hours to travel, the total distance would be \(540\). Not sufficient. \(\Large{\color{red}\chi}\)

Statement 2. The time taken by car was less than \(2.75\) hours. Even if the car took exactly \(2.75\) hours, then the total distance would be \(495,\) which is less than \(500.\)

So, statement 2 gives a definite number. Sufficient. \(\Large{\color{green}\checkmark}\)
