Hi VJesus12,

We're told that on Wednesday morning a fortune cookie machine ran continuously at a uniform rate to fill a production order. We're asked what time the machine completely filled the order that morning.

1) The machine produces 300 units per hour.

Fact 1 tells us the rate of the machine, but not the size of the overall order.
Fact 1 is INSUFFICIENT.

2) The machine started at 8:30 a.m.

Fact 2 tells us when the machine started working, but not the rate of the machine or the size of the overall order.
Fact 2 is INSUFFICIENT.

Combined, we know when the machine started working, and it's production rate - but we DON'T know what the size of the overall order was, so we cannot answer the question.
Combined, INSUFFICIENT.

Final Answer: E
