1 Month Left - Scoring 750 on Practice Tests and Need Advice

Hi,

I started prepping for the GMAT 1 month ago and scored 710 on my first GMATPrep practice test. After prepping for a month, I am now scoring in the 750 range. However, I have one month remaining and am having trouble breaking 770+ because I often miss several very hard quant/verbal questions in each go.

Does anyone know of resources where I can practice specifically very difficult quant and verbal questions? The Manhattan and OG guides are what I'm using currently. If not, does anyone have general advice for taking a 750ish score to a 770+? I understand it's not an easy feat.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

First off, congratulations. You are scoring off the charts! I scored a 770. I think that Kaplan's "GMAT 800" book helped me. It is for test takers aiming for a perfect score.

Hi Kendrick,

Are those "hard questions" the only questions that you're missing or are you missing other questions too?

While you have a month to go before your Official GMAT and I understand your desire to raise your score, it's worth noting that there's almost no statistical difference between a 750 and a 770 (and no Business School will care if you score one instead of the other). With your given ability, you might be better served figuring out (and eliminating) and of the variables that might affect your performance on Test Day. To that end, you should plan to take your last few practice CATs in the most realistic way possible, taking into account all of the variables of Test Day (time/day of Test, breaks, test-like environment, marker/laminated pad, etc.).

You could also post in the Forums here; the various GMAT experts here can probably show you the easiest ways to attack whatever questions are giving you trouble.
