Took the GMAT for the first time on Friday and got a 770 (Q49 V49)!
I just graduated in May and had 3 months before my job started so I decided to use the time to get the GMATs out of the way. I used the Kaplan premier book and practice tests as well as the 2 gmatprep tests.
Here were my scores in the order I took them
Kaplan Diagnostic - 38/40
Kaplan CD1 - 660 Q50 V36
Kaplan CD2 - 650 Q37 V40
kaplan CD3 - 640 Q46 V35
Kaplan CD4 - 640 Q40 V38
GMATprep1 - 710 Q48 V3?
GMATprep2 - 770 (day before test) Q50 V44
Real deal GMATs - 770 Q49 V49 est 99 percentile
I couldn't be happier. I was shooting for a 720 and blew that away. The Kaplan book is great and the tests/questions are defintely harder than the real thing. I think that this is a good thing, others may not. It definitely helps to prepare you stamina wise. My biggest problem was staying focused through the verbal section and the kaplan tests easily fixed that. Anyway, just wanted to share since I'm so pumped. Good luck to everybody else testing or retesting soon.
