Opinions vary.

I came down with something a few days before my exam, and I did fine. Other people who were sick on exam day wish they wouldn't have taken it. Here's my thread from when I was sick:

I mean at the end of the day... you don't really know how you're going to feel the day of the exam... until the day of the exam.

Thanks Riprop ... i think ill wait till Wednesday 22nd and see how I feel and then decide coz then I'll have 7 days before the test to re-schedule thing. its just that, i've been preparing so hard and for so long now that I want to be in th best frame of mind and health when i go in.

I took the GMAT for the first time while sick, and after scoring 650+ on pretty much every single test (and up into the 700s on GMATPrep), I ended up with a 620 on the exam. I *know* that was because I was sick.

I say wait (you may get a lot better in a week) but if you're still sick 7 days out, reschedule. I don't think its worth the risk or the wasted money.

Yeah, I mean if it's going to get in your head, or if you are really worn down, no reason not to push it back. I know a lot of people outside of myself have had negative experiences with the exam while sick. Just figured I'd give you a positive outcome in case you don't push the exam back.

Good luck on the exam whenever you take it!

postponed it

by rangerguy2000 » Tue Jul 21, 2009 7:20 pm
finally decided to postpone it today, was all set to go on the 29th july, have postponed it to 24th aug now.

condition isn't getting any better.. flu has turned into cold and i haven't been able to study at all. going into the last stretch, i wanted to be in the best possible shape in regards to body, spirit and mind, guess its not to be.

decided to go for the last week of august as, it doesn't make a difference as all the 1st few deadlines are at the end of aug, so wanted to make use of all available weekends.

cheers.
