How to start prep?

by eatmygoat » Mon Jan 11, 2010 6:12 am
I am planning for GMAT.
I took the free test of Princeton review available on their website for my initial assessment.

I scored very bad. Q44 and V 16( In verbal i could only manage to do 20 Qs out of 41 so in last i marked all the answer but somehow all went wrong :( ) Total score of 500.

After this score i am quite hopeless.

In Quants i know i can manage 49-50 with little prep. But in Verbal i am pathetic.

Can any one suggest how to start?? Plz share your experiences.

Here are a few good resources for verbal:
- Manhattan GMAT SC guide
- PowerScore CR bible
- Kaplan Verbal Workbook.

You can check out a three month prep plan here as well for some extra tips.

Good luck!
